WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INTERIOR DESIGN SOURCING AND PROCUREMENTInterior design sourcing and procurement are two complementary but independent processes in the execution of an interior design project. Sourcing is the process of selecting vendors and suppliers who can deliver (e.g., produce, build, or acquire) essential things, while interior design procurement is the process of specifying order details, pricing different possibilities, reviewing, and placing orders. |
FURNITURE SOURCING SERVICES- Determining the exact pieces that will be sourced - Review of all product options (e.g., finishes, textures, dimensions, colours, etc.) - Identifying one or more vendors for each item (if multiple quotes are desired) |
FURNITURE PROCUREMENT SERVICES- Budget tracking based on client selections - Approval of final product specifications - Product price comparisons - Order Review and approval (e.g. total cost, design proof, etc.) - Order placement - Logistics coordination |
Creating a detailed, repeatable process will allow you to exercise strict project management while avoiding skipping any crucial steps or questions from your clients. The most crucial components of a good client relationship are clear communication, shared awareness of the timeframe, and aligned expectations on future modifications. The most common problem that comes up either with the interior designer and the supplier or between the interior designer and their clients is lead times. Lead times will determine when items will be received on-site and will significantly affect your total project timeline, meaning you will want to ask vendors for anticipated lead times when placing an order and come to an agreement with your client. |
How do we help our Interior Designers? After over 18 years of supplying furniture for interior professionals, we acquired a great amount of valuable knowledge. Over the years, producing standard and custom pieces for all kinds of residential and commercial projects, we figured out what designers need and want. We can help you bring your client's vision to life while keeping your projects as profitable for you as they can be. |
CataloguesWe begin by presenting all of our content in the most efficient and effective manner possible. Laskasas provides catalogues to all of its customers, including one with the full new exclusive collection of 2022, one with all of our materials and finishes, and one with our product portfolio. This is the beginning of everything for interior professionals because is the fastest and the simplest way to start planning your project, from anywhere since all our catalogues are online. |
Trade ProgramLaskasas trade project specialist team are available for a personalised service that ensures complete supervision during the selection process of pieces, materials and finishes. We offer thousands of ways to customize each piece and that's why our Trade Project Specialists are essential to make sure our customers don't get overwhelmed in a sea of choices. We make everything simple during the interior design sourcing and procurement phase. As we mentioned before our special Trade Program conditions, offer continuous assistance. Besides the support, we also like to focus on the details. Every Trade project specialist makes sure that all emails are 100% confirmed to ensure that they understood the order and if both the vendor and the interior designer are in complete symbiosis when it comes to ordering |
Sample BoxEsta é a descriçãoWe understand how vital it is to see and feel the products before placing an order. We all know that having a sample of the material in use can serve as inspiration for the rest of the design. That's why Laskasas decided to put up a Sample box with all of our materials and finishes. |
In addition to being extremely practical, the sample box also turns out to be a smarter choice, that helps the interior designers experience the product first-hand. Colours and textures on your computer monitor may vary slightly from the actual materials. For accuracy, order and view an actual sample. Due to individual computer/monitor settings: colour, texture, and pattern size may vary from the actual sample. |
ShowroomsWe understand that a sample box or online monitoring isn't always enough to demonstrate the potential of a specific piece or persuade your customer. That's why Laskasas has a total of more than 40 showrooms and stores around the world. Interior professionals can feel the piece in the best possible way and obtain the necessary arguments to convince customers and finalize the order. |
Virtual ShowroomPurchasing items offline versus online is an entirely different experience. In the first situation, you tend to behave passionately and rashly, yet you can 'feel' the product. In the second situation, you are cautious and meticulous in your decision-making, but you are unable to test the item personally. We can't be everywhere, but the internet can. Our virtual showroom can be a good and simple solution to help finalize the order. |
InspirationCommonly we think of people being randomly struck by a flash of inspiration, so we see inspiration as a feeling that occurs almost by accident. It is not true! Inspiration is a process, we become mentally stimulated to do something by getting key notes and ideas from different sources. We know that sometimes we all need a little push in the right direction. |
For this purpose, we have compiled a list of Real Projects in which we have participated, as well as some projects concepts that may be easily adapted to the requirements of a new residential or commercial project. If you see that you need any support, whether in Sourcing or in the Procurement phase, contact us. Our experience, products and willingness to help can be central to the finalization of your next design. |
