Celebrating Women at Laskasas: Honouring Strength, Leadership, and Craftsmanship

At Laskasas, we believe that strong leadership and gender equality are complementary. As we celebrate International Women's Day, we reflect on the incredible women who shape our business, drive innovation and inspire future generations. The foundation of this leadership starts with our CEO, Diana Lascasas, whose vision and commitment to empowering women resonates throughout the organisation.

Diana Lascasas: Leading with Vision and Determination

As a leader in an industry traditionally dominated by men, Diana has paved the way for women to take on leadership roles within the company. She believes that the importance of women in leadership starts at the very top, with her example setting the tone for the entire organisation.

Last year, Diana shared her perspective on this day: “Women play an important role in our structure. It's certainly going to be a day when we give the necessary importance to women and the position they occupy in the market today.”

Diana’s vision and determination have made her a driving force for women at Laskasas. From the factory floors to the executive offices, women lead with expertise, creativity, and passion. At Laskasas, female leadership begins with Diana and extends throughout the company, empowering women to shape our future and excel in every aspect of their work.

Women who lead at laskasas

To highlight the invaluable contributions of women at Laskasas, we spoke with three remarkable professionals who lead in different areas of the company. Their journeys, insights, and inspirations remind us why this day is so important.

Mafalda Aguiar and Carolina Leal

Mafalda Aguiar - International Marketing Coordinator

How do you see the role of women evolving in the marketing industry, and what impact does it have on future generations?

Women in marketing are not just shaping brands; we are reshaping narratives. At Laskasas, I have the privilege of leading a team of skilled women who prove that expertise and dedication are what truly matter. The growing presence of women in leadership positions within the industry brings fresh perspectives, inclusivity, and empowerment to future generations. Seeing more women take charge ensures that young professionals entering the field have strong role models to look up to.

Carolina Leal - Export Logistics Manager

What challenges have you faced as a woman in logistics, and how have you overcome them?

Logistics is often perceived as a male-dominated field, but I believe expertise knows no gender. Leading a team composed mostly of women at Laskasas has reinforced my belief that capability and efficiency define success—not stereotypes. While I have faced moments where I needed to assert my knowledge more than my male counterparts, the resilience and professionalism of my team speak louder than any preconceived notion. Our results prove that women are driving logistics forward every day.

Elsa Pimenta - Financial Controller Manager

How do you think gender equity is evolving in finance, and what role does Laskasas play?

The finance sector has made progress, but there’s still work to do. At Laskasas, gender is never a barrier—skills and commitment determine success. This mindset is crucial for true equity, and I’m proud to be part of a company that leads by example. When women lift each other in the workplace, we create an environment where talent thrives.

A Future of Equal Opportunities

Laskasas is built on the craftsmanship, expertise, and leadership of women. International Women’s Day is a reminder of how far we have come—and how far we can go. As we celebrate the women who shape our company, we reinforce our commitment to a future where talent, not gender, defines success.

To all the incredible women at Laskasas and beyond: today and every day, we honour you.
